UL 4200A Button battery
In September 2023, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted to approve UL 4200A-2023 as a mandatory consumer product safety rule for consumer products containing button batteries to reduce the ingestion hazards of button batteries to children 6 years of age and younger. (Note: As long as the product contains a button battery, it needs to meet the relevant requirements of UL 4200A when exported to the United States. Whether the button battery can be replaced or not, whether the button battery can be recharged or not.) UL 4200A makes systematic requirements for button-containing battery products from the aspects of structure, testing, warning labels (product body and packaging), and instructions.
